Electronics safety features:

locked rotor/stall detection: switches motor to standby mode and restarts it after 40 seconds if motor fails to start or if speed is different from preset range. This software detection protects the motor with a timed restart algorithm to limit maximum winding temperature

resettable thermal protection: stops motor if over temperature occurs. Motor restarts when windings' temperature is back in the operating range
